Well, my 2c is on how much money you're willing to spend (i.e. a Mac is more
expensive than a Linux on a i386 or maybe even on an AMD64), and how far you're
willing to go when pushing the OS hacking, i.e. installing a 2.6 kernel on a
Linux box just to get that extra juice off the iron or just stick with your
"default" configuration.

Again, no BSD flames please, it's only 1/50$.
