I just tried this with CVS:

test=> show datestyle;
DateStyle
---------------------------------------
ISO with US (NonEuropean) conventions
(1 row)

test=> set datestyle = 'ISO with US (NonEuropean) conventions';
ERROR: SET DATESTYLE: invalid list syntax

Am I missing something?
