Hmm, works for me:

regression=# create extension cube;
CREATE EXTENSION
regression=# create extension btree_gist;
CREATE EXTENSION

What PG version is this? Are you starting from an empty database?
It could be the issue is from some pre-existing object and not the
two extensions themselves.
