xTuple is pleased to announce the general availability of graphical installers for its open source PostBooks accounting, ERP, and CRM package, on both the Windows and Mac OS X platforms.
Our thanks to community members Josh Kramer and Ryan Terp for their hard work on the Windows and Mac installers, respectively. Both packages install the PostgreSQL open source database, the PostBooks graphical client, and a sample demonstration database for a fictional company.
Full source code is also available, as are prebuilt client binaries for Linux, Windows, and Mac. There are also detailed howto resources for Ubuntu Linux users at www.xtuple.org/?q=node/4348.
PostBooks is based on the award-winning OpenMFG Enterprise Resource Planning suite, which is also available from xTuple under a hybrid community-source license.
